I Don’t Just Fix. I Direct.
Most "Fixers" haven't stepped inside an edit suite in twenty years. They treat footage like luggage—something to be moved from A to B. I treat footage like a Producer.
When I returned to London for Seasons 6 & 7 of National Geographic's Science of Stupid, I didn't just manage the logistics; I was the Writer, Director, and Edit Producer. I Directed the live-action studio elements using the Phantom 4K Flex, shooting at 1,000 frames per second.
The Insight: Why does this matter for your shoot in Mumbai or Delhi? Because when you tell me you need a specific lens for a VFX plate, I don't just write it down. I know why you need it. I know how the flicker rate of a cheap Indian generator will ruin your high-speed shot. I bring a filmmaker's eye to logistical problems.
